Access System Preferences
- Click on the Apple logo in the top-left corner of your screen.
- Select ‘System Preferences’ from the dropdown menu.
Open Network Settings
- In System Preferences, click on ‘Network’.
Add a VPN Configuration
- In the Network settings window, click on the ‘+’ symbol in the bottom-left corner to add a new network connection.
Select Interface and VPN Type
- From the dropdown menu, select ‘VPN’ as the interface and ‘IKEv2’ as the VPN type.
- Click on ‘Create’ to proceed.
Fill in Server and Account Information
- In the configuration window, fill in the following details:
- Server Address: nl1.ocservvpn.com
- Remote ID: nl1.ocservvpn.com
- Username: Your VPN username
- Password: Your VPN password
- Check the box for ‘Show VPN status in menu bar’ if you want to access the VPN easily from the menu bar.
Configure Authentication Settings
- Click on the ‘Authentication Settings’ button.
- Ensure ‘Password’ is selected as the authentication method.
- Enter your VPN password, then click ‘OK’ to save.
Advanced Settings (Optional)
- Click ‘Advanced’ if you need to configure settings like DNS servers or proxy settings.
- If not, leave the settings as they are.
Apply Settings
- Click ‘Apply’ to save all the settings.
Connect to the VPN
- To connect, click on the VPN icon in the menu bar.
- Select the VPN configuration you just created and click ‘Connect’.
- Enter your VPN password if prompted.
Verification
- After connecting, you can check your IP address to verify that you’re browsing through the VPN server.
